about Henry
Henry’s story
My professional experience centers on producing clearly-understandable communication material. The central components are tenures as a tourguide, working in communications for projects enhancing worldwide nations’ public health, finance and economics, and as a newswriter for daily publications as both staff and a freelancer.
Challenges mount with complex, intricate situations needing to be distilled into simple, entertaining and enjoyable form. Examples include unpacking a high-profile jury’s split verdict that includes acquittals, convictions and deadlocks then writing a recap for readers in a newspaper; aiding a busy manager worn thin by obligations by writing speeches to be presented to directors and additional administrators overseeing budgetary allotments for projects aiming to reduce poverty and enhance public health; and compacting decades of colonial revolutionary activity into a nice ’n’ tight tourism experience.
I also devoted large amounts of meaningful time to scheduling, assembling and moderating speaking engagements and panel discussions at a prominent Washington forum for members of the media, lobbyists and public relations staff, among others, keeping a close eye on the speaking and delivery styles of elected leaders, government whistleblowers and editors of publications, among additional featured speakers.
Following the objective of providing for reader and additional audience’s clear understanding, moving forward with a speechwriting service is a logical next step.
One of the most important parts of a successful speech is knowing who is the audience, a dynamic that should factor into considering and preparing the speaker’s remarks.
As an experienced tour guide explaining material to guests hailing from all over the world, a communications aide used to accommodating management’s presentations to higher-level management, and an experienced, observant journalist who recognizes importance, acts responsibly and chooses words wisely, getting a feel for the room is a task I thrive on.
I look forward to working with you to devise the best strategic method of transmitting your points for the audience’s understanding.
